For our client, the leading Latin American company with Canadian capital specializing in the extraction and processing of rare earth elements, we are seeking of:

Mining Resources Estimation Coordinator

Mision: Lead the creation, updating, and governance of the company's mineral resource models, ensuring data quality, robust methodologies, and compliance with international standards for exploration, development, and mining planning decisions.

Assume the role of coordinator of the mining area in one of the company's key projects. This involves, among other activities, preparing technical work plans and programs and ensuring their compliance; leading cross-functional communication between the mining area and other areas (exploration, geology, processes, environment, legal, etc.); managing and coordinating the work of multidisciplinary external consultants in the mining area.

Main responsibilities:

- Review geological databases and propose improvements to database administrators to ensure proper QA/QC compliance, traceability, and transformation of information into knowledge (surveys, sampling, laboratory QC, density, logging, etc.).

- Perform or validate exploratory data studies to support the definition of geological domains that will later be modeled by the geology department.

- Estimate resources using basic or advanced geostatistical techniques, including traceability and estimation support.

- Serve as the technical counterpart in external resource assessment consultancies to ensure compliance with public reporting standards.

Requisitos

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in specialized resource modeling and estimation software (e.g., Surpac, Leapfrog, Gslib, Isatis, or other).

• Solid knowledge of applied geostatistics and resource and reserve reporting standards (NI 43-101, etc.).

• Programming, database, and data analysis skills.

• Critical thinking and structured analysis of technical information.

• Proficiency in project management and communication tools.

• Mine-plant reconciliation, short- and long-term models.

Skills

• Technical leadership and collaborative management of interdisciplinary teams.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, adapted to diverse audiences (technical, executive, consultants).

• Proactivity and autonomy in managing complex tasks.

• Results-oriented, meeting milestones and quality standards.

• Ability to work in dynamic environments with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities.

• Technical rigor and professional judgment

Responsibilities and decisions

• Define estimation methodologies and domain criteria

• Validate data quality and authorize database closures for modeling.

• Propose survey campaigns and associated technical budgets.

• Approve resource model versions for corporate milestones.

• Desirable: Previous experience in mining operations (as a differentiating factor).

• Driver's license - class B
